Amenities (all within a 10 minute walk)

Hudsons - this is a typical small corner store stocking daily essentials. It is open from very early in the morning should you need to run out for milk or bread. 

 

Kola Store - this is a bigger grocery store with fresh fruit, vegetables, a small deli counter, and a decent stock of dried goods. If you cannot carry your shopping back to the house, ask them and they will deliver it. It is just past the Balzan church in the main square.

 

Rogolin - this is reputed to be one of the best bakeries on the island. They have delicious traditional Maltese bread (hobza) & unlevened bread (ftira) and they are often still warm from the oven when you buy them. They have other types of bread and some pastries too. This is just past the police station off the main square.

 

HSBC cash point - this is inside the lobby of the Lombard Bank in the main square.

 

Steve's - this is a handy stationer that sells stamps, cards, newspapers etc. It is behind the Balzan church.

 

San Anton Palace Gardens - this is a public garden that is open during daylight hours. It is a 7 minute walk away and makes for a lovely stroll in the shade.

Percius - this is a local car hire and chauffeur driven service company. They can pick you up from the airport either by taxi or in a car that you can hire from them.They are based locally so can always find the house. www.percius.com
